Aircraft Spirals Wildly into Palm Fronds at Popular California Coast
An aircraft hovering over a well-attended California beach unexpectedly commenced twirling out of control, eventually losing altitude and plunging into a line of palm fronds as onlookers observed.
Recordings posted on the internet depict the helicopter commencing to spiral above Huntington Beach then descending towards the border of the shore, where it gets stuck between palm groves and a set of stairs close to the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Update
Local firefighters said five individuals were taken to hospital including a pair who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the incident on the weekend.
Three people on the street were hurt. Information on their injuries were not yet released.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
